I’m pretty sure there used to be a forum topic for May [2025] Favorites.  But I don’t see it anywhere now…    Am I simply dreaming or is this one of those hallucinations that are so popular these days?

And I don’t see this forum anywhere either except in the “Recent Topics” side bar.  Should it not be accessible from the “Forums” tab at the top of the page?

    I’m very confused these days.

Sorry Richard. I am still learning to navigate this system. I found a better place to start a new Forum, not just a topic under the Forum’s Headings so the Discussions/Questions will be in its own space. I had tried to start the May Favourites Topic a couple weeks ago but between the website being a little on the slow side and my computer being a bit persnickety, I was not able to start the topic then and it has now been added.

    Hope this helps.

Any further comments please make on the corrected stream. thanks.

Thanks Vivian.   I know this is a work in progress.  Perhaps when my ‘techy’ son comes back from NZ I could persuade him to volunteer to look at the website coding (though this isn’t his favorite activity).

This might (??) be a place to point out website problems?  If so one could look at the site under “exhibits” and the link to previous exhibits.   This link gives a 404 error (page doesn’t exist).

If there is a better place to point out these things please let me know.

    Hi Richard

things will improve soon. One of our members who has experience with the type of web design used, has volunteered to be our webmaster. Denise will soon be looking after stuff and showing me how to do things more easily than what I am doing now.
Some of the “leftovers” from the old site need to be updated with new information so do not have anything associated with it yet. That is probably what you received an error message for the “Exhibits” page.
Hope this helps explain things for you.

I have a question, or comment, about the new logo.   I have the impression, looking at it, that it is slowly drifting to the right….   that is, when I eyeball it, it seems to me the text “Oceanside” is not quite level…  The eye is quite sensitive to these things and maybe I am over-seeing it:  but does anyone else have that impression?  It might be simply because the “O” is so much larger than the rest of the text…

Or, looking carefully at it, perhaps it is because the initial “c” is a little letter, as is the “a” and the terminal “d” & “e” are bigger letters that descend lower that the smaller letters. To me this makes the whole line look a bit lopsided.

I’m certainly not a font expert but I think I might have chosen a handwriting font for that use with slightly different characteristics.  I wonder if the designer might consider these thoughts…..
