Our speaker for the upcoming meeting is our own Brad Powell. Brad is an enthusiastic speaker and this month he will be talking to us about Landscape Photography – My Favourite Tips And Techniques. Should be very exciting. Click here to see his great website.
After the club’s business we will have slideshows of our field trip outing to the Raptor Centre and our assignment for Birds! Should see lots of feathers!
We all enjoyed a great presentation from Brad and all learned something about photography. Brad was kind enough to share his presentation with us. Click on the image below and it will be downloaded
At Craig Bay Heritage Site and Museum it’s all about the details: both the buildings and the items within them invite examination through a camera lens. Do you love Lavender? Well, this is the event for you! Taking place over 3 days in Lavender farms of the Olympic Pennisula, it is a great opportunity to photograph that lovely purple plant at several farms.
The Heritage Lavender Farm Tour™ features unique and iconic lavender farms, representing the heritage and future of lavender, including two of the founding farms of the lavender movement. Each farm is visually distinctive and reflects the vision of its owners and the surrounding environment. The farmers share their techniques for cultivating, harvesting, drying and using lavender. Each farm is a festival all its own with fields of lavender, hundreds of lavender products, workshops, demonstrations, u-cut lavender, crafts, food, beverages, music, and more. Visit the farms at your own pace, relax, and take in the aroma of lavender that fills the air.
You can travel as a foot passenger (or take a car) on the Black Ball ferry service to Port Angeles, then take the shuttle bus (if foot passenger) to the farms offering the tours.
