Ken is an avid photographer who at a young age became inspired by observing his father’s interest in photography when on family trips. This fascination became one of Ken’s strongest interests, both in his leisure time and profession. Working in a professional camera store allowed him to become familiar with and try out the latest equipment.

He later completed the Photojournalism course at Victoria’s Western Academy of Photography, with honours. As a result of that  he produced the Foothills Camera Club’s award winning newsletter. He has also been published in some renowned magazines such as Photo Life, Canadian Geographic. He was a respected photographer often photographing public and private events as well as regularly leading field trips and photo courses. He was recently awarded a lifetime membership by the Foothills Camera Club for his many contributions.

Ken loves to teach and share his knowledge of photography and he offers private or group lessons and workshops.

And, he has the rare bragging rights about TWICE having had a photo in every household and office in Calgary. — He had the front cover photo on the city’s telephone book, twice:)
