Lions Gate Celebration of Nature 2023
Oct 4 @ 8:12 pm – Oct 23 @ 11:45 pm

This competition hosted by the Lions Gate Camera Club of Vancouver is fast approaching. We have to have images selected from your entries prior to this time and we will set the time when the entry category is added to the website. Although an individual may only have one of their images selected for submission, we are encouraging all members to enter one image in each of the four categories within our own club. The categories are listed below.
There are four categories in this competition:
01 – Botanical – subjects such as wild-flowers, plants, trees, fungi and algae. Germinated and grown without human assistance.
02 – Nature – animals, birds, insects, reptiles and marine subjects – under the control and feeding of humans if not obvious – such as zoos, game farms, animal preserves, aquarium, etc…
03 – Landscape – subjects such as weather phenomena, geological formations, landscapes, seascapes and natural phenomena, planets, stars and astronomical events – no hand of man.
04 – Wildlife – ONLY living and untamed mammals, birds, insects, reptiles and marine subjects – no hand of man.
Please check the criteria included in the last Contact Sheet as it is quite specific in what is required. .
You may enter your images in the usual manner on our website and voting will occur by our entire membership to chose the entries that will represent our club. As we will be voting on your submissions, do NOT put your name or any identifying marks on your image. We are looking forward to seeing your wonderful submissions Let’s get all four of your images into this contest….REMEMBER ONLY ONE OF YOUR IMAGES MAY GO ON TO THE FINAL COMPETITION AND THAT WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE TOP VOTE COUNT FROM YOUR FOUR ENTRIES…
We are allowed to enter 6 images as a club and we are looking for a broad choice in what our club will have to vote on and compete with in the Lions Gate Competition.
